I do have a question about one of some of your statements: One is that it seems you are implying that God does not rule over the heavens yet. This seems to contradict the Lord's prayer. Jesus said "...thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven..." If God did not rule the heaven then how could His will be done in heaven?

Both heaven AND earth have been compromised. Satan, who wishes to be "like the most High God, the possessor of heaven AND earth..." has usurped Gods rightful rule and reign in both realms. This is an entire study in and of itself and way to lengthy to go into here, but the WHOLE of your Bible and mine is dedicated to revealing Gods plan to RESTORE His rightful rule in BOTH of those realms that Satan has usurped. God has a PLAN for both realms...heaven AND the earth and they involve the Nation of ISREAL (earthly people), and the Body of Christ (Gods heavenly people).

God is still sovereign, but the Bible tells us that there has been a mighty REBELLION in heaven, and that Satan has brought that rebellion here to the earth, where he is presently the "prince of the power of the air" and the "prince of this world".

When we dont see the WHOLE picture, we miss the whys and wherefores of Gods dealings with mankind today. Its all part of the BIG PICTURE.

God's plan for salvation is simple, and one doesn't have to be a Bible scholar to accept Him (remember the conversation at the cross?) By making religion complicated you turn the unsaved away from salvation, period.

You are absolutely RIGHT. Salvation IS simple. "Accepting Him" isnt the plan, however. Undecided

Find me a verse in the Bible that says all we have to do is "accept Christ" and we are saved. We are told to BELIEVE some things ABOUT HIM, things He did on our behalf to be saved. The conversation at the Cross was NOT the plan of salvation for we in the Body of Christ today. Are you aware of that?

Religion IS complicated. However, God doesnt offer anyone RELIGION. He offers them the gift of salvation thru BELIEVING FACTS about the Cross and what it accomplished FOR us.

The posts here are following THRU with Gods will for all of us. His will is NOT just that we are saved and go to heaven one fine day, but that we go on to MATURITY.

"God desires that ALL men be saved AND ...theres MORE....AND come to a full knowledge (epignosis) of the truth"

Christianity isnt just about getting saved, but learning doctrine that will help us GROW IN GRACE.

The gospel of our salvation is John 3:16, isn't it?

John 3:16, while true for the Nation Israel (as it is written BY John TO them) is NOT...now brace yourself for a news flash here....NOT the gospel of OUR salvation!

WE (the body of Christ) are NOT saved by believing IN Him as our Messiah and King (as this verse means.) We are saved by believing in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ on the CROSS as being sufficient to "justify us from ALL things (Acts 13:39), which the law of Moses could NOT do."

John 3:16 is NOT the gospel that saves today, but was the gospel for Israel in times PAST.

By the way...that is ONLY one of the two part ministry of Christ. The earthly ministry had to do with the Nation Israel. Christs ministry that involves US, the church which is His BODY, is only found in Pauls epistles.

In Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, it (the second part of Christs ministry) was STILL A SECRET, HID IN GOD.

Eph, I think you personally are a wonderful person, but your posting of such absurd beliefs has led me to place you on our prayer list.

Thank you.  But please think this thru. How can one be a wonderful person if one deliberately tries to teach people things that arent IN THE BIBLE (as you accuse me of doing) HuhHuh?

I hope, as much as you like to 'study' the Bible, that you will eventually learn the truth. I pray for those on here that have turned off of religion because of your posts.

I like you as a person as well. I actually LOVE you enough to TELL you the truth.  Undecided

Scripture says : Galatians 4:16 "Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?"

I hope people DO get turned off to "RELIGION", as it has never helped or saved anyone. God wants people to know the TRUTH of the matter straight from His Word, not watered down by some denomination whose goal is to make money when the plate is passed.

The Bible warns us of people preaching the non-truths.

Yes, in fact Paul tells us if they believe and teach ANY OTHER DOCTRINE  that they are accursed!

1 Timothy 1:3 As I besought thee .... that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine...,than that which he received from the RISEN Lord Jesus Christ, that they are ACCURSED.

Galatians 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we (Paul and his fellow workers) have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

I would suggest to you that you look into some of what YOU believe to see whether it matches up with what God has said. If you think that you will be held accountable by God for any sins you have "not confessed", then I would say that your advice to not teach NON TRUTHS needs to be addressed by you first.

If you would like more information on how you, too, can join a church here, just let me know.

Thank you so much for the invitation. Smiley

We have participated in many churches in the area, and even served on the board and taught classes. I BELONG, however, to the church which is His Body and dont need to "JOIN A CHURCH" and go to a building made with hands to be acceptable to God.

As I said before...going to a CHURCH doesnt make one a Christian anymore than going to a barn makes one a horse.

Hugs to you
