The similarities are easy to see....but to some, the differences are more difficult. I think this is because it contradicts what peoples long held beliefs have been, what they have been taught. Some people do not have the energy, nor the curiosity, nor the understanding, that we should take the time to study these things out for ourselves, and not just accept what "standard" Christianity teaches, thinking that is safety, relying on men and not God's Holy Spirit in us, leading us in His word...because God said to each and every one of us:
2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Everyone want to rely on what the Christian world teaches as inerrant, (really, that is what they are doing to me) in spite of the many denominations and differences in beliefs, whether basic to Christianity or issues not salvic. If it depends on what family, or what religion we have been born into...then we need not study at all, because God is going to understand our mind was set as a child into a cult religion...or whatever... But...that is NOT the case, as we see above. We are responsible for what we believe and do with the grace God gives us! I believe this is one of the reasons God gave us the information in 2Ti 2:15...just so that we would study ourselves, relying on the Holy Spirit and learning how to rightly divide.
I will tell you a truth. No man taught me this mystery, but God did, through the Holy Spirit. He kept showing me the inconsistencies, made me think and wonder and be dissatisfied, which put me to studying and searching for answers, to shew myself approved unto God. Now...I am learning a TON through grace teachers, showing me more and more through the Scriptures how to rightly divide to find the truth, and to help me see the fellowship of the mystery!
Thank you everyone here...I am reading, studying, learning so much, and I am so happy and grateful to God for all of you, and most of all for the wonder and beauty of His Word, His plans!
