Something to THINK About!

Something to think about. If you are a believer in the faithful finished cross work of Jesus, His death taking away all of our sins, past, present and future, and His resurrection showing that the Father was satisfied with the payment made, then you are immediately joined with Christ and are in Christ.
Sin is no longer an issue to a believer. We are "dead to sin and alive to Christ". We were "buried with Him in His death" and we arose anew with Him in His resurrection.
We
are
totally righteous today in Christ. ("We have been MADE the righteousness of God IN HIM", the scriptures tell us!) Practically, we
do
sin, I am not trying to say that we are sinless, although we should "sin" LESS, Having the seal of the Holy Spirit who now resides in you and prays for you continually. You have become a new creation in Christ and are adult sons and daughters and now choose how you are to walk in this world.
Lets thank God for His unspeakable gift. He is the most high God and totally worthy of all of our praise and worship.
We need to reconcile all to believe that God answered the sinner's prayer 2000 years ago on the cross. No need today to do anything to get to God. He has completed all of the work. We need to
believe it.
Ro 4:4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
Our duty here is to be ambassadors of Christ telling all who will believe that God is not mad at them and is not judging sin today as their sin was placed on Christ at the cross. So if sin is not the issue, what is the issue? What will
you
believe about what Jesus Christ has already accomplished on your behalf.

What have YOU added onto YOUR list besides "simply BELIEVING?"
Obedience? (to what? The ten commandments? Or to what God has specifically revealed as His will for you today?)
Stop sinning? (How many people spend more time thinkin about this one, than they do thinkin about the SIN BEARER?)
Confessing sins? (Do you REALLY think God left even ONE sin out when He died for them 2000 yrs ago?)
Water baptism? (Water is NOT included in the ONE baptism of Eph. 4:5)
Repent? (This simply means to change your mind about how God makes a man righteous)
Amazing how everyones list is different, but the issue still stands. God has always required that we "Take Him at His Word"....and His Word to us today is NOT found in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, or in ANY of the words spoken by Jesus when He was on the EARTH.
We follow the RISEN Christ, who appointed Paul as OUR apostle with OUR information. 1 Cor. 15:1-4
