Is the criteria for salvation to believe IN God? Does this require that we DO something like many churches suggest?

Doesn't satan believe in God? Of course he does, so what IS it that God is after, and has always BEEN after? He wants us to believe HIM when He tells us of our condition before Him and His ONLY solution to the problem. He wants us to believe the death, burial and resurrection is all that is neccesary for a person to be reconciled to Him.

Sure sad to see that we can get 16 views but, only 3 to respond to the survey.  Huh

Are they really thinking that they believe "in" or "believe" God?  Undecided

Don't be discouraged, Earl.

People are not known for liking to THINK something thru. That is probably the case here. If its not simple and answered in one sentence, they move on! Sad, but true, ya know?

Believing in God is accepting that He exists.

Believing God is accepting His invitation of eternal existence...with Him.

Many people believe that God exists, but never take the time to ponder or even make themselves familiar with what He has to SAY.

Since our eternal destination depends on BELIEVING what God HAS SAID about how to be reconciled with Him, it is obviously MORE that just an intellectual assent to the fact that God exists.

Do we BELIEVE God when He tells us that without the righteousness that He offers as a GIFT, NONE will see heaven? Do we BELIEVE God when He tells us that it is NOT by our works that we are saved, but by His GRACE as demonstrated at the Cross?

Our eternal destination will be determined by what we BELIEVED! No wonder satan wants to keep people in the DARK with regard to the MYSTERY truths revealed to Paul for us today! Satan would rather have people "religious" that for them to actually READ what God has already DONE for them in Christ and for them to actually BELIEVE IT!

Get them "doing, doing, doing" instead of "trusting in what has already been DONE" by God on their behalf.

That is the difference between believing IN God and BELIEVING GOD. It is a life or death distinction that our enemy wants to keep confused with "what we do or dont do."

Salvation is based on what HE did, and has nothing to do with what we do, or don't do!  We only find this glorious truth revealed in Pauls epistles.

Let me check with our webmaster...I have that trouble at Jeremys site...the toolbar does NOT work for me, and I have to use HTML, such as forward bracket b then closing bracket for bold and forward bracket u then closing bracket for underline and then place a forward slash and an  a (no spaces) in brackets as well, and the same for /u at the end of what you want IN the bold or underline. Brackets are [  ]

bracket color=red (or whatever color you want)_end bracket. Then type your text you want in color.
At the end type bracket/color and bracket. NO need to type color as it knows what color you put in.

If you want both bold and color then simply add bracket b, after your bracket color=red end bracket. beginning and be sure to bracket end with[/b] /b  bracket, at the end of what you want bolded.

I will check with our webmaster to see what can be done to remedy this for you. Hows that?
