I know we are to expect it, but I have noticed in the last six months or so a marked increase in the hostility of those opposed to things of God. What have been your experiences?

Oh yes. You will find them to be the worst of the bunch. When you get a "religious" person faced with biblical truth that challenges their preconceived belief system, they either back up and take a look for themselves, or they attack the messenger. They are also good at yelling "foul", and other such things as "don't you dare step on MY sacred cow", or "don't you dare confuse me with the FACTS, I'm too busy being superstitious."

There are people here in town who have shared a meal with me and lived to talk about it...LOL/wink... (as well as hearing them telling folks I really was a nice person and didn't have two heads at all!) but who won't wave at me in town and who even refuse to LOOK at me if I see them across the room.  All due to my sharing the gospel for today with them and challenging their presently held belief system thru presenting biblical evidence. Its really fascinating to watch as human nature fights to "establish a righteousness of their own" instead of taking the righteousnness God offers as a gift.

One guy kept hounding me and hounding me as to why I didn't attend their church anymore. Finally, I told him that we had found thru study that the churches here are teaching and preaching "another gospel", and that Paul and Peter didn't preach the same thing at all. Thats ALL I said and he escorted me to the door of his business madder than a wet hen. People shouldn't oughta ask if they really don't wanna know the answers.

People are funny critters....LOL

Yes, most Acts 2 believers seem to be under the impression that Sunday church attendence makes them righteous.
There is an old joke that goes like this:
Standing in a garage doesn't make you a car...
and sitting in a church doesn't make you a Christian.
