Well, I finished reading this book which was in the ministry package, and all I gotta say.... WOW!

Quite a few light bulb moments contained in this book alone. I am convinced that one must lay aside ALL preconceptions, developed by traditions and commandments of men for the holy spirit to freely work through the word.  I mean, the simple act of overlooking a word such as 'we' and mixing with the word 'I' can completely mangle doctrine when context is forgotten. We have to be so careful in reading, which is part of 'the studying' that God tells us we need to do.

And I really, really enjoy Mr. Trent Cole's teachings. He doesn't pick a verse and tell me what it means for half an hour. He gives verse, after verse, after verse, all within proper contexts. It sounds simple enough, but most teaching I've been exposed to, by highly esteemed fundamental teachers I might add, don't do it this way.

Confusion is flying away, and I thank God, and thank Him for all involved with this site and and Mr. Cole's teachings. It feels like shackles are just falling off, and I feel flooded, and humbled by truth that has been revealed to me recently.

Contrary to mainstream notions, I feel much closer to God, I'm digging into the old testament much more due to these revelations, and my Bible is more marked up than ever, cross referencing scriptures, rather than assigning a personal interpretation to a verse.  Smiley

Dear Bloodbought,

This is just the beginning of a wonderful journey. The things you will SEE now that you have the tools to understand will really amaze you. Give it time and don't expect instant answers to alot of things that will pop into your mind. The answers WILL come as you study with others of like mind.

As you can tell from studying with Pastor Cole, there are very few ONE VERSE answers. We compare scripture WITH scripture and let the Bible be its OWN commentary. There are many good teachers out there and we recommend gleaning from them as much as you can, as they can help you understand the tuff passages and questions that will arise.

Books that I recommend you purchase for yourself and study at this juncture are these:

Things That Differ by CR STAM  www.bereanbiblesociety.org

Satan and His Plan of Evil  by Keith Blades   www.enjoythebible.com

The Plot by Bob Enyart  *we sell this book at a discount thru a personal relationship with the author.

You will be amazed at the wealth of information in these wonderful studies and how many of your questions will be answered from the diligent studies that these GRACE teachers have provided. They are in my own personal library and I highly recommend them.

If you'd like, you can read C.R. Stam's book, THINGS THAT DIFFER online:

I'd still order a copy though so you can read it anywhere, or perhaps share it with someone.

The one book I have and read by Stam is "Paul: His Apostleship and Message". Whipped through that one in like 2 days. Good stuff. My dad gave me a very heavy paper bag filled to the top with many Berean Searchlights. I honestly can't get enough of them.

Three cheers for your dad, Berean! He is probably more than thrilled at your new found love for the truth....we are so delighted.
