I want you to LISTEN to how people twist what we say and misrepresent the gospel

This is a post someone made with regard to what I teach on Amazon. Listen carefully to his words...it will shock you!
Mr Augustus said:
While we may all have different perspectives and understanding, unless they can all be harmonized somehow, someone is wrong. Maybe all are wrong. But that is the logic of it.
I do not know how much you know of Christine's gospel, but she believes there are at least four of them. And Paul has the one that saves us. That, at least to me, is incorrect.
I have given extensive Scripture to show her what she purports is untrue. To use your analogy, she sees the smaller picture.
To use your other analogy, "You can't take a puzzle and say that one jigsaw piece is the complete puzzle or that the puzzle is complete when one piece is missing." Nor can you make the puzzle piece fit wherever you want. The puzzle only starts becoming a picture when the pieces fit correctly.
I would ask you a question: Can a person who has never heard of the Gospel, be saved? If not, why not? If so, why? If they can, how is there own understanding of the Gospel, of which they have never heard, playing a role in their salvation? We are to preach the Gospel because of the magnificence of the Lord's sacrifice; to bring glory to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We are to bring this message to the ends of the earth for that glory, to give the people the reason of their salvation. There is nothing like it in all creation!
But is there a way for a person to have never heard, and be saved? I believe they can. And if they can, you will find love at the center of it. The Laws given by God are based on love.
In fact, they can be summed up in two; Love the Lord thy God with all your heart, and love thy neighbor as thyself. "Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love (1 John 4:
."
They will not be saved by following the law, but by the love they have shown. All will be judged according to the love they have, or have not, shown.
"And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him (1 John 4:16)."
I have purposely shown these verses from the Book of John, because Christine thinks they do not apply to us, but to the kingdom gospel. From her viewpoint, this was preached to the Jews by "Peter and the boys." This Epistle of John applies to ALL believers, as you can clearly see (by the 'whoever' in the verses).
Peace an Love <><
What do YOU see wrong with what he has proposed here? I will post my reply to him momentarily....oy vey.

Here is part ONE of my answer to this slick follower of the father of lies:
Oh my...James and Robert both think that a person can be saved apart from believing in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. What does that tell you? God says He has provided but ONE way for mankind to be reconciled to Himself and its through trusting in what He did at the Cross.
James is correct when he says that someone has to be WRONG here, and it turns out to be ...ahem...him.
We were not saved by LOVE, but by ACTIONS taken by a HOLY GOD to justify us on the basis of the perfect performance of Gods righteous standards by Jesus Christ Himself.
It is a judicial issue, and not one of "feelings." Jesus didn't go to the Cross because He FELT LIKE IT (quite the opposite if you read the Scriptures) but because the wages of sin REQUIRED a payment. Scripture tells us that "Without the shedding of blood there is NO forgiveness of sins", and without the sin issue being taken care of , NO ONE will enter a holy heaven.
So, you see, when it comes to who you will believe and trust, stick with what God tells us in His Word. He tells us where the gospel of OUR salvation is found and its in the NEW information that was given to Paul by Christ RISEN from the dead.
Anyone who tells you that you can be saved without believing that information is a liar, and is setting themselves in opposition to what God has clearly stated in His Word rightly divided.
We are NOT under Israels instructions today, folks. Peter and the boys, and Christ in His earthly ministry did NOT teach Christianity...they taught the law of Moses.
"Christ is the end of the law unto righteousness to ALL WHO BELIEVE." To all who believe WHAT? To all who believe that His death, burial and resurrection brought about something DIFFERENT...salvation by GRACE alone thru faith alone in the finished work of Christ alone.

Here is part TWO of my response to him:
James said:
"I do not know how much you know of Christine's gospel, but she believes there are at least four of them. And Paul has the one that saves us. That, at least to me, is incorrect."
My response:
Uh, James...please allow ME to tell others what I believe and to put it in the proper context!
I never said that there are four gospels today. What I showed thru Scripture is that there are at least four gospels mentioned in the Scriptures, which tells us that the "ONE- GOSPEL -for-all time" conclusion that many teach is incorrect.
There is but ONE gospel that saves today, and it is found in Pauls epistles. 1 Cor 15:1-4 is where we find it. NO one is saved today without acknowledging this ONE way that God has provided for all of us to be reconciled to Him.
James OPPOSES this by saying:
"But is there a way for a person to have never heard, and be saved? I believe they can. And if they can, you will find love at the center of it. The Laws given by God are based on love. In fact, they can be summed up in two; Love the Lord thy God with all your heart, and love thy neighbor as thyself. "Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love (1 John 4:8)." They will not be saved by following the law, but by the love they have shown. All will be judged according to the love they have, or have not, shown."
My response is this:
What a slap in the face to Jesus Christ to tell ANYONE that His sacrifice on the Cross was UNNECESSARY, as all we have to do is to "be loving." We cannot BE LOVING...thats the whole point!
NOTHING "we" DO makes us acceptable to God! It is all what HE DID FOR US that secures our being "accepted IN THE BELOVED."
What James is saying here is that Jesus could have saved Himself a trip to the Cross, because we CAN be loving enough for God to accept us on the basis of OUR performance instead of the performance of Jesus Christ on the Cross.
THIS is BLASPHEMY, plain and simple...I'm not shocked that he is making this very revealing comment, but saddened that he understands NOTHING of the purpose of the Cross.
1 Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
1 Corinthians 2:5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
People, do NOT let the wisdom of this man, James, lull you into a false sense of security. The ONLY power that God has to save you is THROUGH the Cross. The wages of YOUR sin had to be paid for in order for God to justify you through your trusting in His provision.
James, you should be ashamed of yourself for so blatantly MIS- representing Gods ONLY plan of rescuing mankind from the power and penalty of sin! Shame on you...shame shame shame.

Hi Christine! And welcome to you, Gayle!
It is, unfortunately, a COMMON misconception that people have, to assume that there is ANY thing that they can do to add to the finished work of Christ on the cross for their salvation...... yes, my dear Christine...... you hit the nail on the head: it IS a slap in the face to Christ! What is REALLY so very sad is the fact that it is not their fault, at least not entirely their fault...... the CHURCHES teach these heresies and blasphemies!
I believe that the #1 cause of these types of errors is LAZINESS, pure and simple! That old "I don't need to study God's word..... that pastor (or sunday school teacher, or whoever) studies enough for him/her AND me!" type of laziness. The problem with that is that whenever that pastor or sunday school teacher, or whoever, falls into error, from a result of NOT rightly dividing the word of truth, as our beloved apostle Paul teaches us to do in 2 Timothy 2:15, WE fall into each and every error that THEY fall into! Why do people NOT see this?
I gave up on the Amazon threads, Christine. The people there are LOST, and LOVE being lost! They are rude, self-important, and as a whole, they are like a heretical little clique, all patting each other on the back, and congratulating each other for being so very knowledgable....... how sad.
But hey, we can't all be a Timothy, or Titus, can we?

Isn't that amazing? She read one of my posts and the "light went on"...her words. Is that not amazing?
You are right, most of them ARE lost, but if we reach even ONE and help them to see how God is operating today...isn't it worth it?
You are right...and your posts are always so insightful and edifying, Darryl. Thank you for blessing me each time you post.
You are dearly loved , oh brother of mine in Christ...I hope you know this. Huuuuuuuuugs
Lets both help Gayle see that right division will answer all her questions Gods way. I love it when the BODY works together, don't you? Yeeeee haw
