You agree, through your use of this forum, that you'll not post any material you know to be false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of one's privacy or otherwise in violation of any International or United States Federal law. You also agree not to post copyrighted material unless you own the copyright or have written consent from the copyright holder. Spam, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are also forbidden on this forum.

Please realize it's impossible for the staff to confirm the validity of posts. We do not actively monitor posted messages, and as such, are not responsible for their contents. We certainly don't warrant the accuracy, completeness, suitability or usefulness of any information presented.

Posted messages express the views of the author, not us (forum staff, subsidiaries, or owner). Anyone who feels a post is objectionable is encouraged to notify a Moderator or an Admin immediately. The staff and the owner of this forum reserve the right to remove objectionable content within a reasonable time frame, if removal is necessary. This is a manual process, so please understand they may not be able to remove or edit particular messages instantly. This goes for member profiles too.

You're responsible for the content of your posts. Likewise, staff members are accountable for theirs. Forum staff aren't liable for what others write or attach (avatars, sigs, and so forth). Further, you agree to legally indemnify and hold harmless the owners and staff of this forum for any message content they did not personally create.

Your personal identifiers will not be disclosed to third parties absent your consent. We presume your consent is automatically denied in every case. Therefor, third-party requests for information about your account are forwarded to the email address you have registered with us. We make reasonable efforts to run this website and forum in a secure manner, but the webMaster or administrators cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that leads to data compromise. If the U.S. Air Force can get hacked--and they can--it might happen to us as well.

If a court of competent jurisdiction compels us, we will reveal your identity (or other related information collected on this service) during legal action arising from any situation caused by your use of this forum. Otherwise, we tell nobody about you.

You have the ability, as you register, to choose your username. Please keep it appropriate. If it looks and smells like a commercial ad, we'll delete it pronto. Likewise, if your contact email address appears to be a solicitation for goods or services, your account will get whacked. Accounts that are created but "never" logged onto will be eliminated to keep overhead down. With the user account you are considering, you agree never to give your password to another person except an administrator. You also agree you'll never use another person's account. Period.

We highly recommend creating a complex and unique password for your account, to deter theft. Good passwords contain mixed case, numerals and special characters. A bad password is the dictionary word "secret," while a much better password would be something like "Sec_Ret7".

After you register and login to this forum, you can fill out a detailed profile. It's your responsibility to present acceptable and accurate information. Any details we consider false or vulgar will be removed, with or without prior notice. Appropriate sanctions may follow.

Note that with each post, your IP address is recorded. This helps us enforce bans and gives us something to discuss with your ISP. A ban may happen in the event of a major violation of this agreement, or when the Admin deems it necessary for the continued health and well-being of the forum.

Also note this forum places a cookie, a text file containing bits of information (like username and password), into your browser's cache. This is used to keep you logged in/out. The software does not collect or send any other form of information to your computer.

It's our experience that people create more accounts than they close. We periodically prune our membership for inactive accounts, and we'll delete them as they arise. An account is considered inactive when the last post is at least 400 days old. If it's been over a year since you last participated, we'll go ahead and presume you don't need your account here. This lets us conserve resources and helps keep forum statistics accurate. It goes without saying that you're more than welcome to create a new account if a previous one went inactive and was subsequently removed due to inactivity.

Account creation requires member activation, where an email is sent to the address you provide. If you take longer than 30 days to confirm your intent to register an account here, we'll presume something happened and the process went south, and your account request will be deleted. You can always register again, and if you confirm within 30 days your account will be created.

Any newly-registered account where the member has not logged into the forum within 90 days of creating the account, will be deleted.

We do not encourage children under 13 to register here. This protects us legally so we can meet the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) requirements. This also guards children socially. The FTC COPPA (15 USC 6501) seeks to deter individuals under 13 from disclosing personal information online that may be used to take advantage of them. Things like one's name, email address, phone number and the like. If you're not quite 13 then we don't want any of those details about you. Don't provide them. Do not register. Stop right now. Close your browser. Can we make it any plainer?

Parents, if your child 12 or younger registers an account here by falsifying details, we will not be accountable to you for them doing so. We encourage you to take an active part in your child's online activities, so please register an account in your name that you and your children can both enjoy, and which you can oversee.

Young adults, the gotta-be-13-or-more mindset doesn't presume you lack maturity. Not at all. Regardless of your age, we recognize you may be respectful, careful, mindful of your surroundings and headed for great things in life. We also know you could have peers not so inclined, no matter how many times they're warned. And no matter how much older they are. To protect our online interests we intend to abide by COPPA. That law forces our hand. You have to be 13 or older.

Again, your creation of a forum account and your use of this forum indicate you agree to be bound by the terms of this registration.
